When hiring a Sunshine Coast and Brisbane photographer, it is totally normal to have loads of questions. We have placed some of our most frequently asked questions below. Our goal at Wildrose Media is to provide exceptional service from the moment you enquire to the time you receive your final product. general questions

  • Our style of photography and videography is photojournalistic. We aim to tell your story through a candid, fun, and authentic lens. This leads to rawer, more creative, and more authentic visuals that we hope will become treasures to you and your loved ones.

  • Our studio is based smack-bang between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, QLD Australia. It really is the best of both worlds!

  • Great question! While we do not deliver every image we shoot, we do deliver every image that is deemed deliverable. The images that aren’t deliverable are test shot images, duplicates or even images that would make you cringe. All the images you receive are run through postproduction because we only want you to receive exceptional product!

  • Of course! We love seeing photos that inspire you. Doing our best to make sure you walk away from your photo session happy makes us happy!

  • The afternoon light before the sun sets is the perfect time! *Chef’s kiss*
    You’re faced with the chance of getting a gorgeous sunset in the background of your images, and the light sits perfectly on your skin, which means no squinty eyes and sweaty brows.

wedding questions

  • We would be glad to. Ask us anything!

    We also like to write up a custom photography time schedule of how we suggest things may run best on the day. And we’ve worked alongside some incredible vendors, so we’d be more than happy to give recommendations.

  • We get wet and have some fun! No matter what the weather does on your special day, we will make the most out of it and get some epic photos! We definitely suggest having a wet weather backup plan. It puts your mind at ease knowing it’s all sorted regardless of what happens.

  • Yay! Contact the studio, and we’ll organise a time to meet up in person at a coffee shop or online. It’s so important that we meet so we can get to know you both and the special things about your big day!

  • Over the coming months, we’ll touch base with you on your wedding planning. Our pre-wedding chats will ensure every detail is covered. You bet we’ll be excited to hear about all the personal details being poured into your big day! we'll head to your venue and make sure to scout all the epic spots to complete your detailed photography timeline and get you excited for the photos to come!

  • Yay! Contact the studio and we’ll organise a time to meet up in person at a coffee shop or online. It’s so important that we meet so we can get to know you both and the special things about your big day!

  • When booking your chosen package, a 25% non-refundable deposit will be due to lock in your wedding date. The remaining amount will be due one month before your wedding date. Payment via direct deposit.

  • We totally understand the excitement of getting to see some sneaky snaps right after your day. This is why we’ll send you sneak peeks 1–3 days after your special day.

    Your full collection of high-resolution photos will be available 6–8 weeks after your wedding. We’ll send it first as a beautiful online gallery, followed soon after by a USB package. Portrait sessions and elopements take a little less time at 3–4 weeks.

Engagement Photoshoot questions

  • An engagement is such a special time. You’re celebrating the beginning of a new chapter, the start of forever with your best friend, so it makes total sense to have some fun and capture these memories on camera. There are heaps of perks to having an engagement session before your big day, like:

    - Getting comfortable in front of the camera
    - Helping you to vibe with the photographers you’ve chosen to capture your wedding day
    - Trying out your makeup look before your wedding
    - Encapsulating this once-in-a-lifetime love with photographs that will be cherished for decades to come!

  • This is totally up to you! Some couples enjoy having their engagement session early enough that they can use the images to personalise their save-the-date cards and wedding invitations. In sunny Queensland, we don’t have big changes in our seasons; however, some couples like the idea of having an engagement session in a season that is opposite to their wedding date.

  • We recommend having your makeup artist do your makeup for the engagement session in the style you’re considering for your wedding day. This helps you to see how it looks in photographs and decide if it’s the look you want. It’s also another reason to spoil yourself and we think, why not?!

  • After your engagement session, you’ll have your online gallery within 3–4 weeks.

family photoshoot questions

  • This is such a personal question! Wear what makes you happy. Sometimes looking on places like Pinterest can inspire your colour choice. Whether you choose to subtly match or wear pastels, just remember this is your session... it can be whatever you want it to be.

  • Our approach as photographers is to capture you and your family in the most authentic way possible. We’ll definitely aim to get a photo of you all together, smiling at the camera. However, we’re much more excited to capture your connections and the love you all share.

  • The afternoon light before the sun sets is the perfect time! *Chef’s kiss*

  • Your booking is non-refundable in the event of cancellation but can be transferred to another date/time within three months of the original date booked.

  • You will receive access to an online gallery within 3–4 weeks of your portrait session. This gallery can be shared with all your loved ones, no matter where they live in the world.

  • This is exciting news!! Please get in contact with our studio and we’ll lock in a date that suits you.

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required when booking to lock in your date. The full payment is due two weeks prior to your photography session.

  • Payment is via direct deposit.

    We would meet with you prior to the photography and videography session to ensure that we are meeting your business needs and delivering a product you’ll be happy to show to customers.

  • Wildrose Media understands how important and unique you are. We will spend time immersing ourselves in your brand’s story and values to create a visual narrative that resonates with your target audience. We want to understand what makes you tick. Through careful planning and collaboration, we aim to convey your brand's message effectively through captivating imagery and videography.

  • Before our shoot date, we will take the time to understand your brand's identity, values, and target audience. This allows us to tailor the photography experience to best represent your brand and connect with your intended audience.

  • Of course! Wildrose Media offers a range of packages to accommodate different budget levels and project scopes. Each package can be customized to suit your specific needs and goals, ensuring that you get the most value out of our collaboration.

  • You'll have full rights to the images and videography we capture, allowing you to use them for various marketing purposes as needed.

image backup operations

  • With great care. Once we’ve photographed your photo session, all files are backed up right away on multiple hard drives and offsite.

  • We've got you covered! If you’ve had a photography session with us within the past year, rest assured it's securely backed up on both a computer and an online storage device.
