We love capturing connections between couples and their loved ones, those raw, unfiltered moments that become some of your most treasured memories. Whether it's Dad seeing you for the first time in your wedding dress, Mum shedding a tear, childhood friends cheering you both on, or that breath-taking moment when you lay eyes on each other for the first time – all the butterflies, tears, and laughter that take over – these are the moments that we love.

Our goal is to tell your story authentically, with a photojournalistic approach. We believe in being as unobtrusive as possible, which enhances our ability to truly document your love story in a timeless, raw, and romantic way.

We love to travel! Whether your wedding takes place on a white sandy beach along the Sunshine Coast, spanning from Caloundra, Mooloolaba, or Noosa, or amidst the stunning landscapes of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, including Maleny, Montville, Flaxton, and beyond!

How it works

Preparation

The number of photographers capturing your special day depends on the package you’ve chosen. If you’ve hired two photographers, you’ll each have your own photographer, who will usually arrive to you two hours prior to your ceremony. They’ll start by capturing all the beautiful details (your dress, rings, flowers, etc.). Once the details have been photographed, we’ll move on to capturing you and your loved ones. These getting-ready moments are some of our favourites. We like to flutter around and capture your day as it unfolds. Once your makeup and hair are all done, it’s time for the dress!

Ceremony and Family Photos

At your wedding ceremony, we discreetly move around, capturing this beautiful moment from all different angles. If there is anything special happening in your ceremony, we will have talked about it prior to ensure we’re ready to photograph that moment.

Once you’ve said, ‘I do!’ and jumped up and down with excitement, make sure to take some time for hugs with your loved ones.

When you’re ready, we can organise a group photo before we move on to family photos. Prior to your day, we will sit with you to work out who you would like to have in family photos so this process runs smoothly.

Formal Portraits

Once all the formalities are over, this is such a special time for you both.

Prior to your special day, we will have organised where your photos are being taken. This time will usually start with your bridal party, where we will capture a range of shots. Then it’s time for just the two of you – your wedding day happens in the blink of an eye, so we encourage you both to take a moment. Spend a few moments talking together, drinking in the day that has been and still is to be; just be still together.

Reception

Your wedding reception is the time where you can let your hair down and celebrate! We move around the room, taking photos of details and guests as they celebrate with you, capturing all the hilariously candid moments, the first dance, the moment you cut the cake, and of course… cutting loose on the dance floor (usually we’re joining you)!

Where are you based?

Our studio is based smack-bang between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. It really is the best of both worlds!

We’ve never planned a wedding before. Can you help?

We would be glad to. Ask us anything!

We also like to write up a custom photography time schedule of how we suggest things may run best on the day. And we’ve worked alongside some incredible vendors, so we’d be more than happy to give recommendations.

What happens if it rains on our wedding day?

We get wet and have some fun! No matter what the weather does on your special day, we will make the most out of it and get some epic photos!

We definitely suggest having a wet weather backup plan. It puts your mind at ease knowing it’s all sorted regardless of what happens.

We want to book Wildrose Media! What do we do now?

Yay! Contact the studio and we’ll organise a time to meet up in person at a coffee shop or online. It’s so important that we meet so we can get to know you both and the special things about your big day!

How does payment work, and what payment methods do you accept?

When booking your chosen package, a 25% non-refundable deposit will be due to lock in your wedding date. The remaining amount will be due one month before your wedding date. Payment via direct deposit.

Leading up to the big day, when will we hear from you?

Over the coming months, we’ll touch base with you on your wedding planning. Our pre-wedding chats will ensure every detail is covered. You bet we’ll be excited to hear about all the personal details being poured into your big day! We'll head to your venue and make sure to scout all the epic spots to complete your detailed photography timeline and get you excited for the photos to come!

After the wedding, how long until we have our photos?

We totally understand the excitement of getting to see some sneaky snaps right after your day. This is why we’ll send you a sneak peek 1–3 days after your special day.

Your full collection of high-resolution photos will be available 6–8 weeks after your wedding. We’ll send it first as a beautiful online gallery, followed soon after by a USB package. Portrait sessions and elopements take a little less time at 3–4 weeks.

How do you store our photos?

With great care. Once we’ve photographed your wedding, all files are backed up right away on multiple hard drives and offsite.
